I was raised on the streets...
I thought of this sad big bird drawing idea when i was listening to a song by my favorite band FOXY SHAZAM! The song is called the streets and its a pretty jammin' song. you should check it out. Anyway, the lyrics say "the streets is where I's born and the streets is where I'll die." so thats why i painted this existential big bird contemplating his own mortality on Sesame Street.

FLYING FISH!
A speed painting I did in between classes today. took me about two hours. I started by just putting strokes down in photoshop for practice not knowing what i was going to make, and this is what turned out :P . I will probably go in a refine it more later, but i like it for now.

Good Girl
This dog has been a part of my family for as long as I can remember. She never bit anyone once, and was the nicest dog I've ever seen. It will definitely be weird when I go home for break and she is not the first person to great me at the door. It just wont be the same :( miss you already Maggs.
Have fun in doggie heaven. make sure you kill some birds and pee on some trees for me!

These Wheels Keep on Turning.
WHEELS ON WHEELS!
this is my toy idea for perspective class. The assignment was to make a toy out of simple shapes such as cylinders and cubes, so my idea was to make a hot wheel like toy for younger kids. thus the large wheel, so it's easier to grab, and play with. Different wheels for different cars etc... it's going places.

FeFe Carl
A fun Sketchbook practice is to take a piece of a magazine or a hand out cut the top part off and then re-draw it from memory. Here's my DJ Felix drawing.
Monkey Boy!
This little guy is a character I came up with the other day. He's an average zoo monkey that one day found a razor in his exhibit and decided to shave his entire body to look like a normal boy (thus the stubble all over) and fulfill his dream of going to a school and gaining an education. ... I know, I cant wait to see this either.
Joe McAtee R.I.P.
My childhood neighbor and close family friend died last week. He was a very special person in my life and the world will sorely miss him. Joe Mcatee was a free mason, he was a soldier along side Pres. JFK, and so much more, but most of all he was a friend to all. Goodbye friend.

One more thing...
One other thing I forgot to mention that I did this summer was work with my two best friends doing the animation and artwork for an 8-bit game about a rampaging whale in wheels, appropriately named
WAEL THE WHEEL WHALE!
anyway here is some of the art for that. also here is our website switchpulse.com
Goin' Digital
Every one here at Ringling is very digital. Our school is ranked the most wired campus in america. So I decided to put this mac to good use and here is my first art done using photo shop. using the tools to establish value was my main goal with this piece.
